Our Restaurant Menu

In an effort to work with seasonal food and the freshest ingredients, Chef Charles will be changing the menu from time to time. Please watch for updates on our Facebook page.

We welcome reservations for any day of the week, but encourage you call ahead for Friday & Saturday suppers (especially on theater nights) and Sunday brunch or anytime for parties of more than six. The restaurant can be reached at (434)352-7532. Please see our Events page for any changes to our regular hours due to holidays or private catering events.

We offer a variety of gluten free, alpha gal safe and vegan options with the option to modify dishes in order to accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies. Be sure to ask your server if you are unsure about the ingredients of a specific dish. We prepare almost everything in house from scratch in order to ensure the integrity of our ingredients.

NOTICE: The Babcock House will cease public restaurant operations after brunch on October 29, 2023. We have been very blessed to serve the Appomattox community in this way for nearly eight years, but it is time to make this change for the benefit of our family. We will not be responding to comments here, but questions can be directed to Talia and Charles at the Inn.

We plan to expand the inn, offering meals to our room guests and continue limited catering operations. Please call (434)352-7532 to make reservations to use any unexpired gift certificates, which can be redeemed in the inn after October 29, 2023.
