Disc Golf + A Day Toward Lynchburg

A Simple, Unhurried Day from Breakfast to Dinner

There’s something especially good about a day that unfolds slowly.

You start with a full breakfast, step outside for a bit of fresh air and play, share a meal in town, and return—not rushed, but ready to rest again.

If you’re staying with us and looking for a way to spend the day, this is one of our favorites:

A morning at the table…
an afternoon on the course…
and an evening back home.

☀️ Start with Breakfast at the Inn

Mornings here are meant to be savored.

Coffee poured slowly, something warm from the kitchen, and a table shared—whether you’re planning the day ahead or simply enjoying where you are.

From here, you’ve got an easy choice to make.

🥏 Choose Your Course

Heading toward Lynchburg, you’ll find several disc golf courses, each offering a slightly different experience.

🌳 Sandusky Park

A bit more technical, with wooded fairways that make you think through each throw.

🌄 Peaks View Park

Scenic and spacious, this one is perfect if you want a more relaxed round with room to breathe.

🌲 Timbrook Park Disc Golf Course

A great all-around course with a mix of open and wooded holes—approachable, but still interesting.

No matter which you choose, the goal isn’t perfection—it’s simply to be outside, to move a little, and to enjoy the rhythm of the game.

🍽️ Lunch in Downtown Lynchburg

After your round, head into downtown Lynchburg for a relaxed lunch. There’s no need to overplan—just pick a place that sounds good and linger a while.

Here are a few local favorites:

  • Market at Main – Casual, variety-driven, and easy after a morning outdoors
  • Water Dog – Riverside views and laid-back bites
  • Bootleggers – Southern comfort food in a historic setting
  • Depot Grille – A longtime favorite with generous portions

Take your time here—this is part of the day, not just a stop along the way.

🚶‍♀️ A Walk Along the River

Before heading back, make one more stop: Percival’s Island Natural Area.

This easy, scenic walking trail follows the James River and offers a quiet contrast to the activity of the morning. It’s flat, peaceful, and just right for an after-lunch stroll.

No agenda. No rush. Just a chance to walk side by side and take it in.

🏡 Return for a Restful Evening

By the time you return, the day has done its work.

You’ve been outside, shared a table, and seen a little more of the area.

Dinner at the inn is waiting—simple, thoughtful, and unhurried.

And afterward, there’s nothing left to do but rest.

🌿 From Here, You Can Go…

One of the best parts of staying here is how many good options you have—without ever feeling like you need to do everything.

Today, you headed toward Lynchburg.
Tomorrow, you might choose a different direction.

Either way, we’re always glad to help you plan a day that feels just right.
