Deep in the heart of charming Central Virginia, the Babcock House Bed & Breakfast makes for the perfect destination for your next yuletide adventure.

In this blog, we invite you on a journey to learn about the magical transformation the Babcock House undergoes come Christmas and see a glimpse of the heartwarming traditions on display. Plus, we’ll show you some of the highlights of wintertime activities to be found in the surrounding area.
Celebrate Christmas at the Babcock House
Right after Thanksgiving, the Babcock House begins its remarkable transformation into the picture-perfect Christmas abode. With garlands adorning the exterior and draped over banisters and doorways, we bring the hallways to life. A Christmas tree graces each room, familiar holiday tunes fill the halls, and a festive ambiance exudes from every nook that warms the heart and soul.

Our dedication to holiday decor ensures that, no matter where they call home, guests feel the holiday spirit the moment they arrive. Whether you’re visiting Virginia with family, taking a romantic getaway with someone special, or simply seeking a tranquil escape from holiday commotion, the Babcock House will make you feel peace and joy—as if you’re in the coziest cabin in the woods.
Our Christmas Memories and Traditions
One thing that makes the Babcock House a truly special place come Christmas is the personal touch we take care to impart on every guest’s stay. Our own Christmas memories and traditions play an important part in how we shape the experience for those who choose to join us for this beautiful season.
We fondly recall a particularly cherished Christmas in 2020. Spending time in Asheville, North Carolina, we visited the enchanting Biltmore estate, enjoyed the idyllic gardens and greenhouses, and took a cozy stay in a cabin in Pigeon Forge. Our family created lasting memories of knitting by the fire, relaxing in a hot tub, and playing games with our young boys.

To add to the magic, a special snowfall arrived on Christmas Eve (to the delight of the kids), and the Babcock House’s own talented Chef Charles prepared a wonderful Christmas dinner of duck paired with Virginia wine.

Christmas customs like these have inspired our approach to holiday celebrations for our guests. We strive to recreate the feelings captured in such moments—creating the cozy experience of quality time in the Pigeon Forge cabin for each person who visits us.
When you book a stay with us, we do our utmost to make you feel like family and help you create lasting memories that will define your Christmas to come.
